Hailary search for a different world
Hailary found a love of drawing when she was only 6 years old and her love of art continues to this very day. Later she undertook an intensive art education in Russia. Hailary’s styles range is very wide but she admits that acrylic painting is her favorite. She enjoys painting flowers and landscapes. In 2011 Hailary relocated to the wonderful city of Peniche, Portugal, where she continued creating her paintings and joined Galeria
Aberta.

Hailary is a wide ranging painter looking for a different world in fine arts, a very demanding goal and difficult goal. Her identity as an artist is complex showing her wide ranging interests and influences. Born in Russia, trained in the United States of America, Hailary reveals a collision between classic and modern art ideas. With her strong artistic knowledge, she will keep surprising us.
With her flower paintings, proving her attention to nature and detail, Hailary presents elegant works. They make me remember Georgia O´Keeffe, during her stay in Ghost Ranch, New Mexico, painting flowers details, rocks and other natural elements from the desert. Hailary seems to be following this artistic path which is very fortunate and will probably lead her to new heights, using warm colours and the effects of light.
Her work “Exquisitely Natural” is the nice example that directed me to talk about the great American painter Georgia O´Keeffe.
Sea themes are a constant passion for Hailary, maybe reflecting her life by seaside along her surfer friends. She draws and paints water surfaces and bodies, moving or still, using colour with nice transparencies to create volume and movement. From these themes I was drawn to “Breeze”, with the bench as focal point, greens for vegetation and the sea with a wide free brush stroke, recalling Van Gogh.
In the abstract art field Hailary seems to be even more at ease showing an elegant palette and movement. In her mixed media works she enjoys using white colours as light. I noticed two main works, “Continual Flowing Water” and “Ocean dream”, both following action painting and abstract expressionism as if according to Jackson Pollock.
In the first work she uses black, blue and white for light, presenting a lot of movement.
In the second she let her wide technical knowledge show. In the future I expect Hailary to focus herself on her best themes or techniques.
